did she know that a simple videotape chronicling
her solo singing at her 13th birthday party would
land Lindsay Pagano a deal with Warner Bros. Records.
Since then, this Philadelphia, PA, native's addicting
tune "Everywhere U R" has celebrated its own milestone
on AOL commercials, in malls, and on Nickelodeon.
Now 15, Lindsay's soulful voice and can-do attitude
is giving her more and more chances at stardom.
She even captured the attention of Paul McCartney,
and fans are flooding her chat buddy on AIM.

Go-Girl.com
recently caught up with Lindsay while she was packing
for her tour, to discuss the stuff that dreams are made
of.
GG:
What's your school life like?
Lindsay: I'm in
a tutoring program called Independent Study where I
meet with my teacher once a week to review all the work
I would normally do at West Lake High School in Los
Angeles. With interviews and photo shoots, my schedule
got extremely hectic, so my counselor put me in this.
My grades have really improved!
GG:
Do you miss being in school with your friends?
Lindsay: I miss
going to the football games, cheerleading, and the dance
team. But I did a photo shoot for the new Reebok Frantic
Trainer shoes and I got to have my best friend and my
sister in it. I'd much rather be doing this.
GG:
When did you start singing?
Lindsay: I've been
singing all my life. My mom is a singer and my dad is
a guitar player. [When] I sang at my 13th birthday party
that was videotaped by a family friend (who is a songwriter
in Nashville), she told me she was going to hold onto
the tape [until she could give it to] producer Jude
Cole. [After hearing it] he asked my whole family to
come out to Los Angeles in March 2000 to record demos.
I didn't want to get my hopes up [until] one day at
the mall, I got a call on my friend's cell phone from
my mom to come home immediately. I'm thinking 'Oh, no,
they found what was underneath my bed or something.'
I really thought I was in trouble! In the middle of
the street my dad gets out of the car and says, "Warner
Bros. wants to sign you -- we're moving to California!"
GG: How did you meet and eventually
record a duet with Paul McCartney?
Lindsay:
We were recording in the same studio in Los Angeles.
We bumped into each other and he said 'You're Lindsay
Pagano, the girl everyone's talking about in the studio.'
And I said 'Oh really? I thought it would be you!' We
became really good studio friends and when he asked
how the album was doing one day, I said I was looking
for one more simple acoustic song. He recommended "So
Bad" from the b-side of one of his earlier albums. I
laid down a rough vocal, went to New York for a press
visit, and when I got back I was surprised to hear that
he sang backup vocals on it. The song became a duet
from there.
GG:
How did you come up with the title of the album?
Lindsay:
Love & faith & inspiration are the three things you
can't buy. It symbolizes what the whole album is about.
