HALLE BERRY's style: Short
and spiky
Halle has her stylist to thank for her fabulous hair.
"It looks pretty easy, but a good cut is essential
to keep that feathery look," says McCraw. Once
you have her cut he suggests using a wax, pomade, or
paste like New Image End Game Hair Paste or Ion Styling
Solutions Texturizing Hair Wax (both $6, www.sallybeauty.com)
to mold the style into shape. For lift, start at the
roots and use your fingers to work the product through
selected hair strands, while gently pulling upward.

Nicole Kidman's style: Short
and wavy
Soft and natural coils like Nicole's are this season's
new curl, Beckerman says, and they work well on both
long and short lengths. To create this sultry wave,
spiral your hair around a one-inch curling iron like
this one from Conair ($9, www.conair.com). "Starting
from the middle, wrap your hair around [the iron] rather
than curling it up." This will create curls that
are large and loose rather than tight and tiny. Then,
coat your locks with smoothing silicone drops like Ice
Drops from haircolorxpress ($10, www.haircolorxpress.com).
Aside from the satin-like sheen they'll leave, they'll
also protect and provide sunscreen.

Faith Hill's style: Long
and wavy
Get Faith's fab' hair with Beckerman's two-day curl-activating
tip: Wear your hair in braids for one day, and before
you take them out, run a flat iron, like this one from
Hot Tools ($27.99, www.metrobeauty.com), over each one.
Next, brush your fingers through with defrizzing drops
like Frizz-Ease Hair Serum ($4, at drugstores) and style
your hair into loose waves. "The larger the braid,
the bigger the wave," Beckerman says. To try: Different
size braids to create a fun and funky bed-head style.

Selma Blair's style:
Style:
Short and straight
"If you have a short neck, you should wear your
hair short," says Beckerman. "It gives the
illusion that you're slimmer and taller, and it will
show off your neck and hair line." He suggests
a cut that's chin length or to the neckline. "Not
short and tapered, but [a cut] that's long and wispy,
so the shape of the head shows." To create different
types of texture, he says, work waxes, volume mousses,
gels, or a pomade like Citré Shine Glossing Pomade
($5, at drugstores) through your hair. "Concentrate
more on the ends and middle, going away from the scalp
and toward the ends."
