Who
cares that fashion-conscious friends are donning the
latest Anne Klein gown for next weekend's "Must-Attend
Affair," or are planning to be laced in a Donna Karan
dress for the after-graduation celebration? Not you,
that's for sure -- you're smart enough to call on the
clothing expertise of fashion students at New York's
renowned Fashion Institute of Technology, who'll be
able to give you an original look for all to drool over.
For
a heads-up of what to expect from these savvy-sewers
and award-winning designers, Go-Girl caught a
glimpse of the students' one-of-a-kind gowns, jackets,
and suits at a recent FIT-funky fashion show in New
York, NY. It's safe to say you'll never find these garbs
in stock at your nearby department store or in your
town's fashion district -- it's all original here, sister!
While
your friends are lamenting over showing up to the mega-party
in four different colors of the same dress (this actually
happened at one of our proms!), you can make an effort
to find your own FIT designer and be confident that
you're wearing an original! And don't fret about the
future -- though you may not sport these hot numbers
your first day at a jeans and sweatshirt-happy campus,
be sure to save your dare-to-be-different fashions for
a chic night-on-the-town.
