Programs designed to increase female interest in aviation careers include Women in Aviation International, which sponsored an interactive forum and panel discussion last March at the College of Aviation, Flushing, NY. During this conference, leading women in aviation such as Arlene Feldman, the Eastern Regional Administrator of the FAA, addressed the importance of building awareness and increasing the number of females in the industry. The Los Angeles World Airports and the Association of Aviation Industry Resources also sponsored a recent job fair in Los Angeles, CA that presented career options in aviation to high school students as they prepared for their college careers.
